  • If you can’t enjoy them, what’s the point really?

    (I am however guilty of keeping stuff with cool card art untouched though like the series 1 Japan Historics set)

  • I would open them because I'm mentally still 4 years old when it comes to model cars, but I totally understand why someone wouldn't.

  • I didn't get into this hobby for the "value" of the cars or cardboard. I did so because I wanted to enjoy them, take cool photos of them, use them in dioramas, customize them. Supers, RLC, etc are all freed. The only cars that stay in their packaging in my collection are those that have card art that means as much as the model. Example: the Hotwheels Beatles premium sets.

  • Too many definitive factors to be a 100% yes/no answer... although I’d say in most cases you have nothing to lose by opening a model.
