A few articles ago, I spoke about the shiny limited edition Porches Boxsters and other classic Porsches... guess what? I saw them in the flesh.
At the NEC classic Motorshow, Porsche had a massive stand. It was split into two halves: One side you have the restored classics and the 'Project 70' track Porsches. I won't get to heavy into the details as I have done it already here.
But I do have something for you all, photos!
All these are from different UK Porsche dealerships, each one had to focus their design on a past race livery. Even the Pig is there... somewhere.
Some even have scratches and one has a rear-side pannel bashed inwards, quite badly too. That just proves they have been used in the Porsche Restoracing competition.
Look, I even found my hometown one! Although it was restored in Derby... Hmm...
Then on the other side, sitting pretty all in a row is the special edition cars, which are for sale. I will be totally surprised if they all didn't sell during the weekend at the NEC, seeing they are so beautiful.
Having the opportunity to get close to these cars, before they go off to a new home, felt good. The time and workmanship gone into these model will be appreciated by their new owners, I know if I bought one, I would love it till the day I die.
I would have bought this one... I love the old school 911. In that colour, it looks amazing!
