‘Silent Shadow’ will start the EV revolution at Rolls Royce
The bespoke luxury model will spearhead the EV era
Back in 2020, Rolls Royce patented the name ‘Silent Shadow’. Now it has been reported that the Silent Shadow will kickstart the EV era at Rolls-Royce.
Expected to have styling cues from the 103EX concept of 2016, the Silent Shadow will be build on the Rolls Royce Phantom's platform.
Rolls-Royce CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös told Autocar, "We need to make smart decisions on where we invest our money. It may be okay for bigger companies to go into hybrids and all sorts of different technologies. We needed to make a certain decision."
The Silent Shadow is expected to have electric motors, axles, and battery packs from BMW. Rolls Royce has started powertrain testing. It is reported that the Silent Shadow will have a 100kWh battery giving the luxury SUV 500km (311 miles) of range. WOW
Rolls Royce is expected to reveal more information about the Silent Shadow later this year.

I think this is a good idea. Rolls Royce has always been famed for its smooth powertrains. Going electric is essentially taking that to a new extreme
Honestly electric makes sense for luxury even if we do get alternative fuels, however that concept is absolutely disgusting.
That car in the header cannot happen
I mean, what could possibly go wrong?
No, seriously. How hard can it be?
The future is here and it looks...interesting.
