A Porsche 911 by Singer is a very special car.

Rob Dickinson is the Founder and Creative Director of Singer Vehicle Design. He studied automotive design and worked for Lotus. In the 1990's he had fame as singer and guitarist of the band Catherine Wheel. His other passion has been his committed to realising a vision of air-cooled meticulousness by restomodding the Porsche 964.

The Singer Porsche is not a cheap. It has never tried to be. Its about keeping the essence of the 911 but making it better, more bespoke but still recognisable as a 911.

These somewhat ageing cars are restored form the ground up but at the same time capaturing the iconic lines of the 911. Rob tells his Porsche story in the video following.

  • Without doubt, top car in my dream garage. I love retro and spend most of the Le Mans Classic (every other year) on the Saturday walking around the infield looking at 912 and 911 cars, just so I can pick the colour scheme I’d order from Singer. Well, not just that, because they are beautiful in their own right. I think I’d plump for Irish Green with black leather and red carpet. Very fickle though - and if ever I could order one I’d drive the team mad changing my mind all the time. In fact, Tangerine with Cocoa leather is probably nicer. See what I mean? Singer would also have to name the car “Silchester”, which doesn’t sound as cool as the prior ordered destination names!
