Sinister 1932 Ford Hiboy wants to steal your soul

Who wants to buy this?

The Barrett-Jackson sale in Scottsdale, Arizona will kick off this weekend. The auction will feature some very wild cars like a Ford F100 with Ford's Voodoo engine and a 1999 Ford Thunderbird which is as rare as hen's teeth. Now its time to present in front of you a hot-rodding star, the Ford Hiboy.

This custom 1932 Ford Hiboy was built back in 2012 by a garage called Steve’s Engines & Street Rods. This, like every other Ford hot rod, is powered by a 350ci V8 Chevrolet engine which is connected to a 700R automatic transmission.

The body of the car is made of fibreglass. The front and rear coilover suspension is fitted with RideTech lower shock support elements.

The rather striking interior is blessed with the same bright yellow colour which is seen on the exterior.

  • This a Ford bodied Chevrolet. 'Nuff said.

  • I would buy it just to replace those stupid donk wheels. Steelies, repop Halibrands, Torq-Thrust Ds, so many better choices.

    • And if you wanted to go more modern, BBS lace wheels would look fine (maybe 18s on both ends, wide but not too low profile on the tires).

  • Way too much Billet stuff on it for my taste. That isn’t a Hod Rod. It’s a Street Rod.

  • I’m ok with it stealing my stole. In fact I will just give my souls to the hot rod!
