"Despite considerable adversity in his life, he led our team to 16 World Championships making us one of the most successful teams in the history of the sport. His values including integrity, teamwork and a fierce independence and determination, remain the core ethos of our team and are his legacy, as is the Williams family name under which we proudly race. Our thoughts are with the Williams family at this difficult time."

Williams was co-founded with Patrick Head in 1977 after years of racing in F3, F2 and F1 in various ways. Since the start of the journey then, the team has run till today albeit now the family has passed the torched to Dorilton Capital.

The new owners, though, retained the Williams name for now. In the decades of competition, the team has won nine constructors' championship and seven drivers'. In terms of wins, they have 114 against its name with 313 podiums and 128 poles.

From everyone at Drivetribe, we pay our condolences
