Six electric hypercars to look forward to
The list has some really weird names
Talk about electric cars and my reaction would be not so positive. Talk about electric hypercars and my face would be just like Jeremy Clarkson's face while he was driving the Toyota GT86.
That is how much I and most of the petrolheads love Electric hypercars, despite theri hatred for an electric era.
So here is the list of 6 electric hypercars that I and most petrolheads are looking forward to.
It is probably the most talked about car on DriveTribe recently. This is the new kid on the block. It comes from a luxury car brand called Automobili Pininfarina. Its first project is a fully electric 250mph electric hypercar. A really ambitious and extravagant start.
A less heard name but, hold your hearts, it is the most expensive electric car on the planet. Earlier this year it managed to do 0-60 mph in 1.9 seconds. This ladies and gentleman, is Japan's answer to the electric hypercar.
Think electric hypercar and Rimac will not be there? Impossible. The C_Two is the successor to the Concept One. It’s more powerful, faster, goes further on a charge, and terrifyingly clever. Rimac claims the four electric motors develop a combined 1,914hp (1,887bhp) and that it will crack 0-60mph in 1.85 seconds-"BRISK"
Think of Ariel and you think, lightweight, Nomad. What you don't think is 'electric'. Well you'll soon have to as Ariel has announced an electric monster that will produce 1180 bhp and do 0-100mph in 3.8 seconds. It will go all the way till 155 mph and weigh just 1500kg. Ariel reckons the P40 will need ground effect tech to keep the thing pointing in a straight line. Woe, that is a bit too much to digest.
Xing Mobility Miss R
Nobody would have ever dared to think of off-roading an electric hypercar but Taiwan's Xing Mobility has. The ‘Miss R’ will take 1.9 seconds to go to 60mph and will of course be the first electric hypercar with off-road ability.
To round things of we have a 'Tesla'. The rather unsuccessful Tesla Roadster is now rejuvenated to make a come back but we don't know when. The Roadster, just like other cars on this list, will do 0-60mph in 1.9secs, 0-100mph in 4.2secs, the quarter mile done in 8.8secs and will have a top speed of over 250mph.
