India has suffered severely due to the second wave of COVID-19 made worse by a deficiency in oxygen tanks, hospital beds and antiviral medication. The Czech car company feels they have a responsibility in the country and are donating around one million euros at short notice to help aid the situation of extreme stress on the healthcare facilities and lack of funds

The support being provided will include medical supplies and money to the German Red Cross intended to meet the needs in the crisis. Skoda's purchasing and logistics departments are working to acquire the supplies to improve the difficult situation as well as possible. The Indian Red Cross are expected to handle the distribution locally.
