Most car guys know about the Holy Trinity, the most desired supercars. The fastest cars on the planet. Pushing technological boundaries and speed records, these cars are truly amazing. But, are they really that fast? How would the Porsche 918 Spyder, McLaren P1 and LaFerrari stand up against Koenigseggs finest, the One:1? Or the latest and greatest, the Regera?
918 Acceleration - 0-62 in 2.5 seconds, 0-120 in 7.2 seconds, 0-190 in 19.9 seconds
P1 Acceleration - 0-60 in 2.7 seconds, 0-124 in 6.8 seconds, 0-186 in 16.5 seconds
LaFerrari Acceleration - 0-60 in 2.5 seconds, 0-130 in 7.5 seconds 0-150 in 9.8 seconds
Koenigsegg One:1 - Acceleration is mostly unknown, however the Koenigsegg website claims that the One:1 can achieve 0-248 in under 20 seconds
Koenigsegg Regera - 0-60 in 2.7 seconds, 0-124 in 6.6 seconds, 0-186 in 10.9 seconds
Top Speed (MPH)
918 Top Speed- 210
P1 Top Speed - 218
LaFerrari Top Speed - 220
Koenigsegg One:1 - 273
Koenigsegg Regera - 255
Spa Fracorchamps lap times
1. Koenigsegg One:1 - 2:32.14
2. McLaren P1 - 2:38
3. LaFerrari - 2:48
4. 918 - 2:48
Koenigseggs are rarely tested around a racetrack, as they cannot afford to risk cars. Spa is one of the few examples of how fast the One:1 is. It owns the fastest lap set by a street legal production car around spa, by over 5 seconds. The closest car to it's speed is the McLaren P1, whilst the LaFerrari and 918 are 16 seconds behind the One:1.
On paper, Koenigseggs are much faster than the Holy Trinity. But the only way to know if Koenigseggs are truly faster is to see them go up against each other.
So, am I the only one who wants to see these cars go up against each other? Am I the only one who thinks they are even comparable? Do you have a different opinion on which is faster? Let me know in the comments!
