  • It seems to be more of a European choice. Here in America there are more choices at a better price point. Plus, the new Land Rover in my opinion which doesn’t matter, isn’t very stylish. Too reminiscent of the Honda Element.

    • Everyone had an opinion you are no different. You are right about choices in America. Your roads and infrastructure is much more capable than ours but your driving laws make it easier to use these vehicles for what they are designed for

  • It’s probably not got the charm and character of the old Defender, but after i had a hands on look and talk with the people who developed and engineered it, it’s most definitely worthy of the name Defender. Capabilities wise, it just walks all over the old one and quite a lot of its competitors. A 900kg internal payload is pretty damn impressive, so is the wading, breakover, ground clearance and approach/departure angles. It is the only modern car I actually would buy with my own money now. Everything else is sort of irrelevant.
