In today's episode of 'Brilliant or Blasphemy': somebody's actually built a pick-up truck based on a 2005 Continental Flying Spur. The owner turned to DC Customs, a car customisation company in Dudley, to convert a regular Bentley into a truck and they've done a good job, in that whatever else you think of this (let's say) 'ideologically', the conversion was certainly well executed.
It took DC Customs about a year to complete the customisation. They began by welding the rear doors shut and shortening the roofline. The rear section was then converted into a load bed with a nautical line, instead of using rubber or plastic or iron, they've used teak.
Inside, you'll find a partition between the front seats and the bed but other than that, the cabin looks exactly the same at the front, as does the engine that lives under the bonnet: an 583-hp twin-turbo W12.
"The Bentley Flying Spur pickup left us today after one of the biggest builds and biggest challenges to date. A lot of people thought we were mad cutting up a Flying Spur - probably right, lol - and thought it just wouldn't look good. But personally, I think we nailed it and must admit that we're proud of this one," DC Customs wrote on its Instagram page.
The owner is so proud of his new Bentley Flying Truck that they gave it a name: Decadence.

Have you been at it again? Did you commission this thing? Are you THAT upset about Holden? 😉
There was an Australian politician who said "the government is rolling out a Bentley when all we need is a Commodore". I always thought he was an idiot.
*admits to like it with shame...
That is the most commonwealth thing you could ever do. British car, Aussie style.
Wtf
Exactly. It's up to his shenanigans again. Next comes the PINK paint job.
