Someone built a 1,200bhp triple turbo McLaren and it's insane
The McLaren production line are is no stranger to forced induction with their twin-turbo V8 engine being featured in many of their latest cars, but someone has gone out of their way to fit in an extra turbo and the outcome is insane.
Matt Farah from TheSmokingTire managed to get behind the wheel of the modified 12C Spider tuned by Hypercar Development in North Carolina. Producing 1,000bhp on normal pump fuel and 1,200bhp on race fuel, this one-off creation was designed to be time attack car fitted with an extra turbo that feed extra power to the original two.
The car started out as a 12C but features numerous parts from other models such as a 650S front end and the rear of the 675LT with a huge rear wing. An orange roll cage dominates the interior with full alcantara bucket seats and harnesses.
