Someone ordered a Pink Aston Martin Zagato Shooting Brake
Someone ordered one of the most beautiful cars in a rather unorthodox colour
Zagato made Aston Martins are some of the most beautiful and spectacular looking things on the road, they are daring in design while still full of class and sophistication. The latest quartet of Zagato Astons based on Vanquish are no exception here.
The shooting brake is arguably the best of the best, its proportions are a far cry from what we usually see from Aston, yet it still looks stunning and fits in the Aston range perfectly. The long 'V' shaped panoramic roof is a design and manufacturing masterpiece and a cherry on the literal top.
At a price that can equal to that of several family homes it's aimed at a quite extraordinary clientele, it seems that someone from that clientele felt the need to be even more unique and decided to order their Zagato Shooting Brake in bright pink...
The news came courtesy of Aston Martin CEO Andy Palmer himself who posted the two photos on Instagram with this caption;
"My Friday factory walk (Gemba) and I came across this beautiful Zagato Shooting Brake about to be shipped. It’s certainly going to stand out for a lucky customer."
While I agree that it's going to stand out and the owner certainly is one lucky person (you can't feel too unlucky if you can drop more than half a million on a car, can you?), I have to question their taste choices a little. I do understand the need to be different and stand out, but come the heck on, there will already be only 99 of these beauties, why ruin one of these by making it look as though it belongs in my little sister's barbie house?
*Update shown the photos to my 7yo sister and she loves it, so who's right me or my sister?
