Someone Please Explain This Mustang-Lotus-Cadillac Hybrid To Me
Three different cars and two burning eyeballs
Mustaddilus? Locaddilang? An abomination of human creativity and decency? Whatever you want to call it, please just give me the rationale behind this Lotus/Cadillac-bodied Mustang. But I strongly suspect none exists.
This abomination is the work of a custom metalworking company called Sheet Metal Happens, whose page you can visit for photos of the build. The car's official name is the "MUIA," which I can only assume was a grotesque misspelling of "MURICA," given that in the same page the builder also manages to misspell "except," "headlights," and "Cadillac" ("exceopt," "headight," and "Cadilac" if you were wondering).
The build is based on an '07 Mustang V6, but it's been...er...enhanced with a custom, hand-formed body, the headlights from a 2008 Lotus "Eliese," the taillights from an '89 Cadillac, and a new grille. None of which, I must say, have done it any favors.
The wheels look comically small, which is good on an S-Class because it improves the ride, but bad on this because it looks like a rejected Hot Wheels mounted on piano casters. As if it couldn't get any more ridiculous, it's also been modified with one of those stupid hoods that opens forwards.
Then again, if you go to the "Project On Hold" page on the builder's website, you can also view their attempt at building a Lamborghini pedal car. I don't think many of their creations will be crossing the block at Barrett-Jackson next year.
Also, is that...zebra-pattern carpet? Yes. Am I surprised? No.

Calm down, people. It does not look so bad if you close your eyes.
Welcome to Drivetribe Kuba!
It looks like it was designed by the same people responsible for the current Priuses. Only I love this, because it makes no sense.
That looks like something a romanian or an indian would build in a shed. The misspelled words ciment the idea. And the license plate, MUIA means BLOWJOB in România.
Not sure if you meant to misspell cement to be ironic....
There are those who say that nuclear weapons have no beneficial use. I give you a beneficial use.
Burn it! Burn it with fire!!
Sheesh, I’d rather be seen in a Gremlin.
I'd rather have unsafe sex with an Ethiopian transvestite than been seen in that thing.... 😂
"Gee, look at the great custom bodywork I can do!" As advertising, Win - As a demonstration of Taste and Tact... Well, just because you Can do something doesn't mean you Should...
