Someone strapped a jet engine to this smart fortwo
Bill Berg, who lives Telluride, Colorado, strapped a 2,000 hp jet engine on his 2008 Smart ForTwo. Funny enough even with the jet engine at the back of the Smart ForTwo it is still road legal.
Thanks to the extra boost the little Smart can now reach 170 mph in 9 seconds and is able to reach a maximum top speed of 220 mph.
Although you wouldn't really call it eco-friendly with it being able to finish 15 gallons of fuel within 5 minutes. That is unless you still want to use the 3-cylinder front-mounted engine for when driving into town.
It still has air conditioning and windshield wipers thankfully but has lost the passenger seat to the GE T58 jet engine and the rear space to a number amount of equipment such as the fuel system for the thirsty jet engine.
But look on the bright side with the jet engine at the back you won't have to worry about annoying tailgaters and if they do annoy you just switch the jet engine on.
