Sometimes you just need to get out of the house
After two weeks of being home, I needed a reprieve from the monotony of remote work and video games.
I've spent the majority of the last two weeks at home. As someone who is thankfully able to work from home, it's not uncommon to spend an entire day without leaving my house. However after several days, it starts to make me stir crazy. Today I decided I need to do something other than sit on my butt and stare at a screen, so I hopped in my car and headed out to the highway.
I headed back to a spot I had taken photos at before. It's on the way to Tehachapi along California Route 58. There's a rarely used frontage road that sits along the highway, nestled between two hills. It has scenic views in both directions and makes for the perfect place to park a car and shoot some photos. So I pulled up and had myself a mini photoshoot.
Despite the smokey air, it was nice to get out of the house. Photography is something that always makes me happy and it feels great to work on my craft. I'm really happy with how they turned out as well!
