Son Borrows His Dads Ferrari California Without Permission – Gets It Impounded
For the owners of this Ferrari California though, they clearly didn’t deliver the message strongly enough.
We have all been there, your parents are on holiday, and you are under strict instructions to not take their car out for fear of an eternal grounding that will carry on until you’re at least forty years of age.
For the owners of this Ferrari California though, they clearly didn’t deliver the message strongly enough. The unnamed owner’s 28-year-old (yes 28 years old) son thought better of his parent's advice to not ‘borrow’ the Ferrari and thought he would go for a quick drive.
Sadly for him, though it all ended in disaster when he was pulled over by Police Offices in Bromley, when questioned by officers he admitted that he had ‘borrowed’ the £150k car while his parents were out of the country.
Things got even worse for this Ferris Bueller wannabe as the questioning officers ran the cars details and found that the driver was not insured to drive it. Common sense could have told you that from a mile off. Dad loves his Ferrari California, doesn’t want his offspring to drive it, so doesn’t add him to the insurance – all very logical if you ask me.
This gave Bromley police no choice but to ticket the driver for having no insurance while towing the pretty Italian exotic to the nearest impound yard – something tells me that this guy won’t be winning any son of the year awards in the near future for this one.
To add insult to even further injury, Bromley police then bragged about their latest catch by putting pictures of the said Ferrari on Twitter.
Now you would assume that the driver is going to be on the hook for a hefty fine for not having any insurance, as well as the impound fee for the car and having to explain to his father where his beloved Ferrari is. What we wouldn’t give to be a fly on the wall for that conversation.

Well, it was a little more than a normal car....... but your right it is a bit sad......
Exactly, why the hell wouldn't you let your son drive your car, my father lets me drive his bmw whenever i asked him (since i was 18) and nothing bad has ever happened. Father is at fault here as much as the son, if he didn't teach him how to gain his...
