Sorry fans, the Ford Mustang Mach-E is a big hit in the Silicon Valley
The success of the controversial Ford Mustang Mach-E is confirmed to the great displeasure of fans of the real muscle car. The electric SUV is starting to take a big share of sales in the US and it's not going to stop anytime soon! And in the country, it's no surprise that the Silicon Valley has fallen in love with the vehicle.
According to the Detroit Free Press, Sunnyvale Ford dealership received 40 reservations for the new electric SUV in a single night. That same dealership has already accumulated more than 100 reservations for the Mustang Mach-E. The popularity of the vehicle is therefore very strong and the presence of Tesla's head office just a few yards away doesn't seem to intimidate it!
All examples of the First Edition launch series were sold in the United States a month and a half after the unveiling of the vehicle. And more than a quarter of these bookings came from customers living in California. That's reassuring enough for Ford, who saw right by launching an electric SUV inspired by the timeless design of the Mustang.
The Ford Mustang Mach-E is an attractive alternative to Tesla's vehicle lineup. In fact, Ford's SUV is more affordable and its dealership network is much more extensive than Tesla's. And contrary to what you might think, the Mustang Mach-E has also attracted customers who already own a Mustang. Times are changing...
