SPANISH GP REPORT - LECLERC
Leclercs Spanish GP weekend reflects more of what I expected from him from the get go, in which unlike Australia and China he was able to get his head in the door of any battle that presented itself.
Early on he did extremely well to avoid the incidents at turn 1 showing that he has an ability to think much ahead; and maybe having a bit of Luck aswell.
He was up to P8 and he tactically decided to drop the anchor, the cars ahead were very fast and he would need everything he had to defend against upcoming cars from behind.
He became involved in a major scrap with Alonso which in my opinion is exactly what the doctor ordered. He got the chance to fight the home favourite on home soil and the press; Fia live feed and Ferrari most importantly who will hopefully be considering Charles for the possible vactating No.7 car were watching.
He held up a good fight and did what he needed to do infront of the press but inebitably lost the place to a much more roiled up Alonso.
This demoted Charles to P9 and he stayed there for the vast majority of the race until Charles was pipped by Perez with only a few laps to go.
Charles put on PR managers fantasy in Barcelona and scored points against Ericsson yet again, prooving his skill against the swede who will now be facing doubt over his seat for the rest of the season.
Heres how Charles Championship looks after Spain...
