Don Schumacher Racing and Leah Pruett announced this morning that Sparkling Ice is expanding their partnership with Leah and the winningest organization in drag racing.

The expansion includes primary sponsorship, meaning we will see the Sparkling Ice Spiked wrap on Leah's car for two events this season, the rescheduled Winter/Summernationals, the last race of the Western Swing, and the NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals, the fifth of seven Countdown to the Championship races.

Sparkling Ice Spiked is a full flavored, gluten free hard seltzer made with 4% alcohol, 1g carbs, zero sugar and 80 calories. They launched in November 2020 and part of that launch included a marketing campaign featuring Leah as a brand ambassador. Leah has been working with Sparkling Ice since 2015 and was selected to be the first Sparkling Ice Spiked representative.

The 2021 Top Fuel championship contender had this to say about the selection, "I've been enjoying Sparkling Ice flavors and newly released products for six years, but the Spiked products have created a whole new level of interaction for me with friends and fans. The work hard, play hard motto is one we live by, so after a long day at the track, grabbing a Spiked with my crew guys brings us closer together when we talk about the highlights day."

Pruett, a Southern California native, is naturally very excited to have two opportunities to delivery a Wally to her longtime supporters, but is thrilled that they've chosen Bristol Dragway, which is hosting a Countdown race for the first time ever, and her hometown track in Pomona to showcase their new hard seltzer.

"There's no place like home and there's no taste like Sparkling Ice Spiked," Pruett said about flying the Sparkling Ice Spiked colors this weekend at Auto Club Raceway in Pomona, California.

'The Pomona 1 race is always a favorite because I get to see and spend time with people that I've known for so many years. Friends, family and former racing buddies from over the years, from my high school crew to college professors, Pomona 1 is an actual mile marker for me, and because Sparkling Ice has been such a milestone partner in my life, I love introducing the newest and best beverages on my dragster at my home track."

“Unconventional might be a great way to describe our Bristol event in the fall, as it’s occurring at a time of year we have never raced there, and on top of that, it’s now a highly-important Countdown race,” added the Top 10 ranked driver who is aiming to be in the thick of the championship hunt when the Sparkling Ice Spiked car returns at Bristol Dragway. “It will have been over two years that we’ve seen those fans, and we would love nothing more than to cheers with them in the winner’s circle and continue our fight in the 2021 championship.”

This announcement is the latest addition to Leah's ongoing relationship with the Sparkling Ice brand. Sparkling Ice Spiked branding has adorned Leah's Top Fuel Dragster throughout the 2021 season as a major associate sponsor, while Sparkling Ice has been along for the ride for all of Leah's Top Fuel triumphs.

CEO of Sparkling Ice Spiked, Chris Hall, had this to say about the expanded partnership, "The Sparkling Ice Spiked team is thrilled to have NHRA Drag Racer, Leah Pruett, on board as a 2021 brand ambassador. Sparkling Ice Spiked is all about shattering expectations and creating extraordinary moments. We look forward to watching Leah do just that throughout her race season, and we'll be cheering her on from the sidelines with a Sparkling Ice Spiked in hand."

In addition to logo placement on Leah's 334.15 mph Top Fuel Dragster, Sparkling Ice Spiked branding will also be seen on Leah's firesuit, the team's crew shirts, and on the team race and support haulers. DSR's 21 and older VIP hospitality guests will be treated to a sampling of Sparkling Ice Spiked's products at the Pomona 1 and Bristol events, while Sparkling Ice's non alcoholic beverages are available to DSR guests of all ages at all 2021 NHRA Camping World Series events.
