I would like to start by giving credit to the one that wrote this article: Drivetribe user BEN F. He asked that I publish his article on Automotive Bible, a tribe that me and a few others run. So, full credit goes to Ben. Also, don't bombard me with comments. We all know that the 458 Speciale Aperta is not the best sounding car in the world. LP640's sound the best, obviously. But, we still let Ben have his obsession, and his biased opinions. (As you can tell, it is an ongoing debate.)
This gorgeous machine made by Ferrari is the 458 Speciale Aperta. I think that this is the best Ferrari that has come out of Maranello. I love this car partially because it is one of the last naturally aspirated engines in the world, as many car manufacturers have lost their moral compass, and stopped making them. The 4 and a half liter V8 engine was stripped right from the 458 Speciale's engine bay. I think that the 458 Speciale has the best sounding exhaust in the world. This means that the 458 Speciale engine combined with the gorgeous Aperta looks creates a car that is unforgettable. What you get from owning this car is pure joy of riding in a Ferrari with the roof down because its an Aperta. And on top of that you have the best sounding exhaust in the world combined with a smooth Ferrari drivetrain. This car must be a joy riding when you find an open country road. Then you can open the taps and floor it with the roof down and the wind in your face. As well as hearing that screaming exhaust especially when you go through a tunnel. When it is raining you can still take this car out and cruise through the country roads just with the top up. As with any prancing horse, (except the Cali) this car is gorgeous, and has beautiful lines. But, with any looks comes speed and pure driving ability. This car is solely about pure driving experience and having a good time laughing with the wind in your face. Overall this is one of my favorite cars and will always be one of my favorites.
