Designed in Frankfurt and developed on the Nürburgring, Kia's new Stinger fastback sport sedan has been making waves since its launch. And now it has been named not only as one of three finalists for the 2018 North American Car of the Year, but it has also been shortlisted for the prestigious 2018 European Car of the Year award.

Combining effortless power with a true gran turismo ride and engaging handling, the KIA Stinger fastback sport sedan has already won awards for its styling. Launched in the final quarter of 2017, the Stinger has been widely praised by motoring media for its fun-to-drive handling characteristics, high refinement, and exceptional grand touring capabilities.

Artur Martins, Vice President Marketing & Product Planning at KIA Motors Europe, commented: “The Stinger is unlike any other KIA that has come before, and is truly European in its execution, both in design and driving character. It is gratifying to see the combined efforts of our designers and engineers being recognised by Europe’s most influential automotive media. With KIA’s innate quality and reliability built-in, we believe the Stinger will be popular with European drivers too.”

Kia South Africa has so far not confirmed if the Stinger will be available on local shores.
