Spot the London Classic Car Show branded Mini to win a Grand Avenue runway
Artist PopBangColour creates Mini-on-Mini representation of London
With 2019 marking the 60th anniversary of the iconic Mini, the team behind the London Classic Car Show has teamed up with contemporary British Artist Ian Cook, aka POPBANGCOLOUR, to create a one-off London-branded Mini.
The custom paint-job was constructed entirely using his signature remote-control cars, in this case Minis, skidding through patches of paint to create a classic representation of London, including the Union Jack, London Eye, Tower Bridge, the Gherkin and more. The initial design and artwork was sketched and decorated in just six hours, at the Waterloo Classics Garage in central London.
From London, the Mini will make the trip back to its spiritual home in Coventry, West Midlands, where the finishing touches will be made ahead of its grand debut at the London Classic Car Show from 14th-17th February.
To see a video of the artwork in progress head over to the London Classic Car Show Facebook page, where you can also find out how to win pair of premium tickets to the show as well as a ride in the Mini, in their Grand Avenue procession of Showcars.
