As the images reveal, it will be much more aggressive than the 'normal' DBX. A new big redesigned grill, with a black mesh. Redesigned front bumper which has a single deep air vent that goes along the whole front bumper. The big grill and vent are designed for more cooling, it is possible that it had the 5.2 litre V12. (not confirmed)

Reports from the photographers tell that the exhaust note matched to the DB11 and the DBS Superleggera. If it is going to have the V12 then it could take on the likes of Bentley's Bentayga Speed or the Cayenne Turbo GT.

Aston Martin currently offers the AMG-derived V12 in various states of tune, from 600bhp in the DB11 to a thumping 715bhp in the DBS. Somewhere in between is the DB11 AMR, which is fitted with a 630bhp version - if the DBX S does indeed utilize a V12, this is the output we’d expect, to bring it squarely into line with its rivals. However, the 4.0 litre AMG V8 can be tuned to give more power as seen in the GT Black Series which produces 720bhp. Tuning the V8 will definitely be more cheap than throwing in a V12.

The pre-production model does not have any more big changes, it has quad tailpipes, which are twin in the DBX. The DBX S might use revised adaptive air suspension for better handling. The new hardcore variant is set to form part of a staple of new DBX models, beginning with a six-cylinder mild-hybrid version before the end of this year and a plug-in hybrid in the wings too. The DBX S is expected to arrive in early 2022.
