Spotted: Is the BMW X4 facelift getting a bigger grille?
A heavily-camouflaged prototype has been spotted testing
The BMW X4 has been due a facelift for a while now, and now the prototype mid-life facelift vehicle has been spotted out on test in the wild, complete with heavy front and rear end camo. According to our source, the front will be redesigned to give a 'more aggressive' appearance, to sit better with the rest of the BMW range design.
The facelift is only one of many planned for the BMW brand's mid-sized range, with the X3 also having gone 'under the knife' in recent months.
This particular prototype still appears to be in an early state of development, with all the new details well obscured by the camo. However, its mere existence is proof that the German brand plans to seriously modify the 'face' and rear-end of the car. Could we be seeing an EVEN BIGGER grille on the X4?
If BMW are trying to 'up the aggression' of the X4, we can probably expect a re-designed set of headlights, a larger grille, and perhaps a redesigned bumper too with some more angular features and intakes.
The back end should also see a few notable changes, likely including a new bumper design too, along with some newly-designed lights and perhaps even some fresh detailing on the tailgate.
Despite the major facelift, it is expected that technical details and configurations should more-or-less carry across from the current model.
