ONE PRISTINE FIAT 128
SQUEAKY CLEAN. The Toms posted in The Classic Life5y ago9K Award- The Fiat 128’s transverse engine actually provided the underpinnings for the Fiat X1/9’s mid engine setup. - Tom didn’t want visible screws on the number plate so decided to Velcro it on instead. Attention to detail is what yields results here. - This car also has a hand throttle "like a cruise control I suppose"- Tom usually works with timber but had a job for 18 months as a mechanic's apprentice. - Tom has owned loads of different cars over the years: big American stuff, Cortinas, Escorts and a Fiesta XR2. Fifteen years ago he bought a golf GTI and has stuck with it ever since. - Flicking through film photo albums from back in the early 2000s Tom talked about how could see the changes in the style of modified cars. He stuck 13” Revolutions on his GTI back in the day before lowering was as popular. - Every available space in the garage is taken up with models and magazines. It’s more a shrine than a workshop, but has all the tools necessary for the job.ONE PRISTINE FIAT 128 Award The Toms
