SSC Tuatara's 'Little Brother' will have 700 horsepower
765LT beware, SSC's coming for you
The name Tuatara is on the lips of every petrolhead. Why? That's because the SSC Tuatara has dethroned the Bugatti Chiron and become the fastest road legal production car of all time.
The Tuatara averaged a speed of 316.11 mph (508.73 km/h) and reached 331.15 mph (532.93 km/h). SSC though does not stop there.
In an interview with CarBuzz SSC boss Shelby said, "We haven't been interested in an SUV, but we have had a drawing board over the last few years with what we call the 'Little Brother Project'." Phew, SSC won't be making an SUV then.
Shelby claims that the 'Little Brother' of the Tuatara will be "more affordable" and priced between $300,000 to $400,000.
"It would be a car that looks very much like the Tuatara, but it would be in the 600 to 700 horsepower range." So there you have it, not only has SSC dethroned the likes of Koenigsegg and Bugatti, they are also aiming for supercar makers like McLaren and Ferrari with the Tuatara's little brother. Brilliant.
