Subaru breaks Guinness World Records title for the largest parade of Subaru cars
1751 Subaru vehicles participated in the record setting parade.
The record for largest parade of Subaru cars was a total of 549 vehicles in 2015. Well that was the record until Oct 4th, 2020 when it was broken 3x that amount at the 2020 Subaru Tecnica International Subiefest with a total of 1751 Subaru vehicles.
The parade was organized as an alternative to Subiefest's traditional format by ensuring attendee safety during the pandemic. Subaru of America did not want to collect ticket sales, instead they wanted a donation to Feeding America from each registration who participated in the record-attempt. It worked as donations from the parade participants will provide 241,800 meals. Subaru of America will match the donations, bringing the total number of meals to 500,000.
“In these trying times we all search for stability in our daily lives,” said Alan Bethke, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Subaru of America. “We hope that through this donation to Feeding America, we can provide the comfort and stability of a meal for people who struggle with hunger in America. We must all stay safe but remember to help others where we can.”
