Sustenpass with GT3RS

We’d like to invite you to join us as we journey across Europe, driving some of the most amazing cars, on what we consider to be the Greatest Driving Roads in Europe. We hope you enjoy, and feel inspired to get on the road and discover these tarmac treasures some time soon!

First post we have reserved for our favourite mountain pass in the SwissAlps, the Susten, combined with our most popular car in 2016, the incredible Porsche GT3RS! We took the car up from Zurich (just a couple of hours north of the pass) for a quick photoshoot ready for the start of the season and a little bit of promo work – part of the deal with our friendly photograher Richard (a total petrolhead himself) was that he got to drive car for half the day, and we go, well let’s just call it a great rate for the photoshoot! The pass itself is one of the first passes to be built specifically for cars, and was constructed by refugees staying in Switzerland during the second world war – combining a fast and sweeping valley approach, starting from the small town of Wassen, with the classic alpine pass switchbacks up to the summit at 2260M/7414ft. Combine this with an immaculate road surface, and an incredible run back down through alpine forests and trees, it just about ticks all the boxes you might have for a greatest roads. Pass opens start of June, unless it’s been a particularly harsh winter / great ski season…
Pictures are courtesy of our good friend Lorenz Richard, we hope you enjoy!
