SUV Boom means wider parking bays in UK
The love affair with the larger car means adjustments are taking place
We know we are facing an obesity epidemic in the UK but it turns out that its not us that are getting fatter, also our cars are too. We all know that cars have been getting bigger with each generation due to safety regulations (just look at a 60's mini compared to the latest version) but our countries love for the SUV has meant that car park spaces are also going to get bigger. NCP has said it will be expanding the average parking bay to accommodate for large best selling cars such as the Audi Q7 and Range Rover. Car Park related accidents have also risen due to the increase in 4X4's so is this the future we are facing as a country? I fear so. Thoughts?
