Swatch G157 'Daimler-Chrysler' + handmade leather strap

A couple of days ago I talked about a 1-million dollar watch I can't afford so I thought I should balance it out by talking about this cheap 1998 G157 'Daimler-Chrysler' Swatch I bought on Depop app. In the late 1990s, following the merger between Daimler and Chrysler, every employee within both companies was given one of these. Most came with a completely transparent case and black hands whereas this is a bit more rare, with a transparent case decorated with silver concentric circles and green, yellow and blue used for hand, minute and second hand respectively. The original strap wasn't included (it was a bit ugly, if we're honest) so I used a handmade sand leather strap that I bought from a different lot a while ago. What do you think?

  • Wow, that’s cool! I joined D.C. after they merged, so no watch for me unfortunately.

Kind of looks like a Swatch

    • yup, it is actually a Swatch. It's pretty cool, Swatches usually are. And there are so many interesting variants and special editions
