Among the various machines José Silvino Pires has raced through the years on the Portuguese Hillclimb Championship, probably the most charismatic is the Ford Escort Mk1 BDA. With around 280Hp/10.000Rpm, this Classic Escort has beaten much more modern and more powerful machinery thanks also to its low weight ( around 870Kg of dry weight) and some very aggressive driving.
