Thought affordable mid-engined sports cars were dead? Then you might want to take a closer look at the new Tamo Racemo, which is a compact sports car that's mooted to cost around £30k.
It's quick, too, with Tata claiming a 0-60mph time of under six seconds. Power comes from a mid-mounted 1.2-litre turbocharged triple which punches out 187bhp and 155lb ft, and drive is transmitted to the rear by a six-speed paddle-shifted automated manual gearbox.
The Tamo's turbocharged three-cylinder engine features four valves per cylinder and displaces 1.2 litres.
The Racemo is the first car from Tata's new advanced mobility brand, Tamo, which is designed to test and trial new technologies and concepts.
The new sports car is about as long as a Lotus Elise, but slightly wider, and features independent double wishbone suspension all round, electric power steering and four-wheel disc brakes. It's got BMW i8-style dihedral doors, too, giving it a bit of supercar-style theatre.
Reports suggest that only 250 will be built for the Indian market, however, but if it proves successful then we hope Tamo considers making something similar on a larger scale.
If you've got a copy of Forza Horizon 3, however, you can add the Racemo to your garage now. Take a look – and let us know what you think of it in the comments below...

it looks so weird to me they gave them out free on horizon 3 it's obnoxiously fun to drive though
Can not wait to see one roam around my city, looks mightily impressive
love the look, I'm impressive that they put that much design into £30k. Not so sure about the dashboard, prefer the classic dial look
