It’s finally happening: your teen is approaching the legal driving age. You may be proud, frightened, or excited--or all these feelings at once! You can ease your mind by putting your best effort into helping your child prepare for the road. You’ll want to help them build their skills by slowly increasing the difficulty of your lessons, and set clear boundaries and privileges for once they get that coveted license. To help ease you through the experience, here are five things to consider.
Importance of Mirrors
When teaching youngsters to drive, educate them on the importance of mirrors. Describe how to use the various mirrors while driving and how they assist in navigation.
Keep the mood light
Teaching youngsters to drive needs a lot of patience. They will make a lot of mistakes but don't yell, keep the mood light.
Choose Wider Roads
When teaching youngsters to drive, choose wide roads. Wider road helps them to experiment with different functions of the car.
Switch off the Phone
When teaching youngsters to drive make sure the phone is off! Cell phones are, by far, the most common source of distraction. Turning cell phones off and putting them out of sight limits the temptations surrounding texting and driving and making or taking phone calls.
Compounds are complex
When teaching youngsters to drive avoid building compounds. Too many senior citizens and children. Avoid taking such places as an option to teach them to drive.
