TEAM HESSLER RALLYE DESERT EXPRESS: A V-STROM FOR THE DAKAR
This year Suzuki presented its new V-Strom 1050 XT and many thought that the design was very similar to the DR Big employed in the Dakar between the late 80s and early 90s.
The German tuner Team Hessler Rallye has decided to go further turning the bike into a modern version of the bike that took part in the raid.
Unchanged mechanically, the vehicle has been updated with a new single shock absorber produced by the Wilbers HRT Rally and with a metal plate placed in front of the engine to protect it from bumps with uneven ground.
Other changes include Anlas Capra X knobby tires, Magura handlebars, Probrake brake grips and Zeta Rally windshield with GPS support.
The expense for upgrades, which also include a new saddle, reinforced suspensions, footrests, luggage racks, protection for the headlight, hand guards and chain tensioners, is 3985 euros. Does it suit you? I would say yes ....
