Teaser: What do you think of the Volkswagen ID.5 GTX?
Do you find it exciting or just another electric SUV?
Volkswagen has released two cars in its all-new ID electric range – the ID.3 and ID.4 which have both proven to be successful, but what about the next one?
The car joining the current duo is called the ID.5 and it promises to sleeker coupe-version of the ID.4.
As a cheeky teaser, Volkswagen has posted a sneak peek at the new ID.5 in some very attractive-looking red and green camouflage – naming it the "youngest member of the ID. family."
Being the coupe variant, the ID.5 features a new sloped rear and a more prominent trunk spoiler. Like the ID.4 and ID.3, the ID.5 will sit on VW's MEB platform and is expected to have the same powertrain as the ID.4.
This means it will be most likely offered with a single electric motor generating 201 hp in its standard form, but a more powerful AWD version with dual electric motors capable of 302 hp will also be on offer.
Prices are yet to be announced, but the ID.4 starts from £33,960 and goes up to £54,865 – so you better be prepared to spend a premium on the coupe ID.5.
