Tesla cars will now protect your dogs from overheating
One of the greatest benefits with Tesla is not just the financial savings to be had or the fact that driving one is almost the same as patting a cute Polar Bear on the head; it is probably the idea that if you come up with a good enough idea, you can reach out to Elon Musk on Twitter and be listened to.
Because that is exactly what what has happened in this case.
For a while now following some of the recent updates across the Tesla lineup, Twitter users have been requesting some kind of 'dog mode' so that they can safely leave their pooches in their cars should they have to go to shops. One Twitter user wrote "Can you put a dog mode on the Tesla Model 3?" to which Elon Musk replied simply "Yes".

At the moment it is still unclear exactly how this new 'dog mode' will work. But, its main purpose will likely be to prevent any dogs from overheating, it may even play some music to keep them nice and calm too.
This new update will arrive at some point this week, at the same time as the new 'sentry mode' which, in the event of a break in; will record footage from the dashcam and play music loudly through the sound system to draw attention and hopefully ward off any potential thieves.
