Tesla has sold more Model 3s than BMW 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 Series together!

A strong performance in the United States

When you compare the sales figures of the Tesla Model 3 with those of other more traditional models, you can really see the popularity of the American sedan. In the United States, the result is impressive, especially against historical manufacturers who are much more experienced than Tesla.

According to Cleantechnica, 127,836 Model 3s were sold between January and November 2019 in the United States, making it simply the 9th best-selling car in the country over this period, all categories combined. This performance is more than respectable, especially considering that just 10 years ago, no one believed that Tesla would be successful.

And we can see even more of Tesla's phenomenal rise when we compare this figure with that of other manufacturers. BMW, which is very well established in the United States, has for example sold less 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 Series combined than the Model 3 ! In total, these 7 cars represent 116,073 vehicles sold by BMW.

Even if it is still not an affordable car, the Tesla Model 3 enjoys enormous popularity, one of the highest ever seen by a new car. It easily combines advanced performance, cutting-edge technologies, low running costs, all at a relatively reasonable price. Sales of the Model 3 are still quite strong and the brand already plans to deliver 300,000 units next year.

  • At least Bmw won't sell you a car that is full of factory deffects

I can't wait to see model 3 owners start to complain about:

    -Rust/bad paintwork

    -trunk leakage.

-software issues & bricking after 2-3 years

    -badly assembled trims

    -glass and suspension issues

That's why you buy a quality product people.

    • Came from decades of BMW, now have two Model 3, the cars are perfect just like the BMW were. Difference is no costly maintenance or oil change and better, no freaking engine casket change at 65K miles like it happened to me. You are talking from...

  • One should never, repeat, never purchase any new BMW. They depreciate too fast. Buy a CPO BMW 2-3 years old with less than 30K miles. They sell for about half the price of a comparable new BMW and they’re just as nice. Maybe that’s why Tesla is outselling BMW—the BMW’s buyers are smarter for getting theirs used for half-price.
