It's on — a drag race of epic proportions. It's the world's fastest four-door sedan, the Tesla Model S P85D, against Australia's fastest four-door sedans, the Supercheap Auto Racing Holden Commodore V8 Supercar and the Walkinshaw Performance W507 HSV GTS.

The Tesla Model S P85D rockets from 0-100km/h in just 3.3-seconds, while the V8 Supercar does it in 3.4-seconds, but weighs just 1400kg with the driver.

Strap on as we see who wins — USA v Australia.

  • Musk must be funding all of the Tesla fanboys to produce videos like this worldwide.

  • So pointless. Enter the Tesla into a V8 supercar race at Bathurst and see how long it lasts! We all know the Tesla is quick off the line...

  • I just don't see the point in doing all of these. Ok Tesla is fast in a straight line, faster than most of the petrol cars. But what is faster round a track? Tesla? I don't think so. Also it isn't more ekologic than normal cars. But it's more expensive (I think). Electricity might be the Future, but not the near one.
