The Tesla Model Y will be unveiled on 14 March
In a short series of tweets on Sunday, Elon Musk announced that a Model Y unveiling will be happening in a couple of days at the LA Design Studio
Make a note in your diaries because Elon Musk has confirmed that the previously teased Model Y will be presented to the world on March 14th.
In a series of tweets, Musk gave us a short overview of what we should expect from Tesla's upcoming car saying that "Model Y, being an SUV, is about 10% bigger than Model 3, so will cost about 10% more & have slightly less range for same battery", additionally tweeting that detailed specs and pricing will be provided, as well as test rides in Model Y.
Further more, the Tesla Supercharger V3.0 was announced to go live this week on Wednesday, which is supposed to have a 200 to 250 kW output, which is twice as powerful as the current Superchargers.
My take on it
While I personally am excited for the new technologies announced by Elon, I feel like the Model Y is just going to be a cross-over version of the Model 3. I definitely hope that a bit more information will be provided on the long awaited Tesla Pickup. What are you expecting from the March 14 Tesla event?

Yup, he wasn't allowed to have the model E as Ford got the trademark first, so he went for the model 3.

Another crossover, just what the world needs!
Eh it's what most of the world demands, it makes sense that they would build what sells. Just like the economy, history, politics, fashion, it will circle back around at some point and people will start looking at smaller cars.
I hope the new model will be more innovative and affordable than the Model 3. I look foward for discovering it very soon.
I don’t think it will be that different from the Model 3. Elon actually said in a tweet that the pickup will be announced later this year. I think that will be a much more interesting event.
Elon Musk knows how to create surprises around the new models. I'm sure he'll find a new way to promote the model Y.
