Tesla teases 'Romance Mode' in upcoming update

Elon Musk takes to Twitter once again to spill the beans on next update features

Okay so let's just be perfectly frank here. If you're cruising around in your autonomous car there is going to come a point where you are so comfortable doing so, and your opinion of car travel will begin to change.

No longer will autonomous travel be something you show your friends, it will just be normal. You'll find yourself engrossed in a deep conversation with friends or perhaps watching a movie. But let's be honest here, there is going to be some who have thought of performing adult activities and now that may not be so difficult... what with the new updates and all.

Of course it is important to mention that we are not fully autonomous just yet, but Musk believes that by the end of next year we will be cruising around in cars that don't require any input from us as drivers at all.

I can almost imagine what engaging 'Romance mode' might look like. Perhaps any interior lights would dim right down, the chairs could recline and join in the middle like a bed. There could even be a little compartment to open where some champagne is located and kept cool, perhaps even a preset music playlist would start playing as well. I am sure there is also technology not too far away from Tesla to automatically tint the side windows as well.

What do you think?

  • Not needed, owning a Tesla is a contraceptive in itself.

  • What if the model names were just a big plot so that Elon could say S3X in a tweet and they don’t really mean anything

  • "After safety, our goal is to make a Tesla the most fun you could possibly have in a car" -I'm dying of laughter and puke that comes out of my mouth at the same time right now.

  • This is a brand full of gimmicks and people mistake it for a luxury brand; makes me fear for the future of luxury
