Tesla's Cyberquad ATV gets a launch date

I can hardly contain my excitement

1y ago

Ok look, we've all seen it. Tesla's Cybertruck has scared, divided, and polarized the internet for all time. However, what few people remember is that Tesla actually unveiled a second vehicle at that event, the Cyberquad. Very little was known about the surprise new vehicle up until a few weeks ago when Elon Musk tweeted out that the Cyberquad will indeed go on sale.

Beyond that short tweet little else was said about it. We knew you could buy it, just not where, when, and how? However, earlier today none other than Elon Musk sent out a tweet saying that the Cyberquad will ship alongside the Cybertruck, which is expected to begin deliveries in mid-2021. The ATV is designed to work with, and charge off of the Cybertruck, a feature which I'm sure many new owners will appreciate.

That being said Elon Musk did further quash any dreams of a Tesla motorcycle, saying that, "We won’t do road bikes, as too dangerous. I was hit by a truck & almost died on one when I was 17." However, he did say that Tesla may produce a dirt bike in the future. And like all things Tesla the Cyberquad, will be all-electric. This will also be the eight vehicle to enter Tesla's lineup, joining the Model S, Model 3, Model X, Model Y, Roadster, Semi-Truck, and the newly-announced Cybertruck.

  • Can I just have the ATV? No truck needed.

  • Because we get an addition to something we already never wanted.

  • after seeing some rather unhealthy ATV riders across the US (meaning they carry a few extra pounds/kilos/tons), the range will probably be around 3.5 blocks. But, if you can get to a Supercharger, it will charge in only 12 seconds!

  • That's great marketing: having an appetizer for some, while others simply take it as a full meal.
