After being revealed almost exactly a year ago we now finally know the location and release date for the next instalment in the Test Drive series.

In the new trailer released today we got our first look at what the new Hong Kong map will have to offer, with everything from muddy coastlines to neon light city streets. The game will feature two rival clans, known as the Sharps and the Streets, and after joining one you will attempt to rise through the ranks and overthrow your rival clan. You’ll also be able to customise both your cars and character, although specific details haven’t been confirmed yet.

There aren’t many more details we know about the game at this stage, and the only confirmed cars are the ones featured in the trailer, including the Aston Martin DB11, Range Rover Sport, and Lamborghini Huracan Performante.

Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown will be released on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and PC on September 22 2022.

  • Hong Kong huh? Why do get the feeling that we’re going to have the gaming equivalent of the Mulan Remake? Call me old fashioned but it doesn’t quite sit well with me setting your racing game in a country that is currently committing crimes against humanity against an ethnic minority, in a city that has ( as we speak) had calls for freedom from a tyrannical government violently suppressed.

  • Kind of a shame it isn’t a next gen exclusive that’s gonna knock the beauty of it way down I’d imagine. But this should be good regardless i always loved unlimited years ago.
