TGIF: Trucking Friday
This is what Greenlight does best.
The relationship with 1/64 Greenlights is somewhat awkward: they produce some classic 1/64 models that no other manufacturer bothers to create, but those are plagued with numerous QC woes. Getting a GL without any major QC flaw is an achievement of its own. However, the Dually Drivers series (and their pickups in general) are such class acts, , it is difficult to not literally grab them by both hands even if they are peppered with some issues here and there.
Case in point: Ford F-350 Lariat and (Dodge) RAM 3500HD Laramie.
In real life, these two trucks are proper butch, heavy haulers. Thankfully Greenlight has captured that essence very neatly into the 1/64 scale.
The engine lid has "SUPER DUTY" tampo that is difficult to view with the body colour
Details are remarkably clean. Wheels are absolutely mega.
The dark red does not do justice to the superb tampo work. Crooked rear wheel one of few nags.
The F-350 was the first one which caught my eye. It is a beautiful casting.
The Laramie is not to be outdone though. The weirdly attractive "Bullydog" livery adds more to the macho image.
This is what pickups are all about; butch, macho workhorses.
A job very well done, despite the ever - present minor nags. A slightly lifted version could be absolutely killer.
Thanks for stopping by! It is almost Christmas, so don't forget to treat yourself (and others xD) with some die cast goodness! Have an awesome weekend!
