Thank you and goodbye
It's hard to believe that this will be my last post on DriveTribe. I decided to take some time to look back at my time here.
I don't really want to say goodbye. I didn't really expect this to happen, ever. I was so excited to see what the future would bring to this wonderful platform. I was excited about sharing more stories. I was excited for car meets to start back up again, so I could share more photos. The community here is so special. It's been an incredible journey and I have learnt so much. I have made friends that I love and will always treasure. I have discovered new interests, like automotive photography. It was nice to be part of this, because someone always cared. No matter what you were interested in or posted about - someone always cared.
I was 18 when DriveTribe launched and I first logged in in 2016. In the beginning, I spent a lot of time quietly observing. I thought sharing anything was too scary. Eventually I met people who encouraged me and before I knew it I had shared my first few posts - and eventually articles.
I have done quite a lot of different things on this website. I have written news articles, made listicles, written about motorsport and history. I spent a lot of time talking about women in motoring, with a wonderful team of incredible women who I look up to. I have also had the pleasure of being an ambassador for several categories and helped running the Women of DriveTribe facebook page for a while.
Someone, for some reason, even put me as a founding member of the Moneybox team - or the Creators Programme. That was an exciting time for sure! I was also trusted with the fantastic Photography Community tribe. With a lot of help I spent quite a lot of time showcasing the very best of the talented photography community. Eventually, I had to take an involuntary break.
The bottom line is, no matter what stage I was in my DriveTribe 'career', there was always someone cheering me on. Along the way I've gotten more confident and I've made lifelong memories. I felt so lonely before I discovered DriveTribe, but not anymore. I don't want to mention any names as there is just too many, which feels like an incredibly nice problem to have if I'm honest.
Thank you to the staff for doing an incredible job, always. Thank you to all the wonderful people I've met on this platform. Thank you to everyone who made up the amazing Photography Community. Thank you to everyone who inspired me along the way. Thank you to everyone who thought I was good enough, who supported me, and brought out the best in me. I'm going to miss this community so, so much!
