Thank you DriveTribe

Without you, I would not be where I am now. This is my tribute.

It’s been years since I started publishing articles on DriveTribe. Here, I found my love for writing and grew my passion for cars. With every new article, my path became more clear. Who would have thought that there is light at the end of a much too long doctorate tunnel when I felt stuck at university for so long. After all, I learned to stand on my own feet and will soon start my job as an aspiring car journalist at one of Germany’s biggest car magazines. I will be living my dream. Finding my way would not have been possible without DriveTribe. Thank you a million times!

Starting a career as DriveTribe creator

For a writer, freedom at DriveTribe is nearly endless and so is the caring. In the creators program, many lovely people are offering support and they taught me how to improve my writing. I never encountered someone in the team, who wasn't open for a discussion or just happy to chat a bit. The creators program is a great place to learn and improve, and I am grateful to have found my place in it.

Finding my way would not have been possible without DriveTribe.

DriveTribe around the world

When DriveTribe started to launch customised country homepages, I got the opportunity to help out as a country ambassador for Germany. I started to create German content for the first time and took care of the growing German community. But then my time I was able to spend for DriveTribe and its community grew thinner and I had to make a decision regarding my situation.

Jumping in at the deep end

During the final years of my PhD studies, I realised that what I really want to do was working as a car journalist. I also realised that my chances of becoming one where much higher in Germany than in my beloved UK. When my work at the university was over, I told myself to be brave and submitted job applications.

Doing what I love

What can I say? It worked out. A german car magazine offered me not only a job but a comprehensive education as a journalist. It really happened and I'm bursting from excitement!

After many years of hope and despair, DriveTribe showed me what is possible in life. I started my journey with so many great people here in this place and it all led me to my dream.

This is my big thank you to DriveTribe, for being my spark!

To a great future for everyone passionate and dedicated. Anything is possible!

Yours, Victoria (This is not a goodbye. I'll stick around!)
