"Boring bonehead questions are not cool. Next."
Having just posted a record quarterly loss of almost $710m (£523m) for Tesla in Q1 2018, that was not what financial analysts expected Elon Musk to say to them during their Q&A.
Musk became bored after a series of detailed questions about the intricacies of Tesla's finance and simply decided to stop answering that genre of question.
"We're going to YouTube," he said. "Sorry, these questions are so dry. They're killing me."
Musk the proceeded to take a total of ten questions from a vlogger called Galileo Russell, simply ignoring the analysts and their clipboards and graphs.

Russell was strongly encouraged to keep asking questions, because they allowed Musk to discuss the technological side of Tesla rather than the finances, which he evidently finds more interesting.
However, Musk did not get away with his stunt completely scot-free.
After the call, Toni Sacconaghi, one of the pied analysts, released an excoriating statement saying that the session had "raised more 'boring' and 'not cool' questions than it answered."
Sacconaghi, who represented Alliance Bernstein, also admitted that Tesla's quarterly results were largely in line with expectations, but expressed concern over the company's efforts to produce its Model 3 faster, saying they still "feel like a work in progress".
He also crushed Musk's optimism regarding the prospect of reaching profitability in the second half of the year by branding it "a somewhat unlikely scenario".

Elon so far is too much of an Optimist, he will soon learn the harsh truth if he didn't listen to the boring boneheads
He seems to be doing fairly well for himself at the moment though
Yeah... I can't avoid feeling bad for him when the ciphers hit him though.
I could consider him one of the 21st century geniouses if he was a bit more calm on twitter.
