Crashes are never fun. A few days ago we watched a horror pile-up at the Nürburgring. Today you can watch and grimace as 16 (yes, sixteen) GT racecars were destroyed during this morning's FIA GT World Championship qualifying race at Macau. Thankfully no-one was injured and the race continued - with only 8 cars of the original 20 finishing, with Edoardo Mortara in his Mercedes-AMG GT3 taking the checkered flag. #TunedAutomotive #SomeShitAboutCars

  • What the heck sort of track/corner is that - how that is FIA compliant is beyond me. Makes redneck dirt racing look 21st century.

    • A wild guess would be Nurburgring. The cars were also very close to each other, so no time to respond. The same would have happened in Monaco with those cars so close to each other.

    • I am surprised. They run the same types of events in many places. This does not normally happen so yes, it is surprising.

  • Isn't that what most people watch motorsport for? To see a crash? And not for the racing lol.
