The 2020 Ford Focus ST has been spotted in the US
Last found at the 'Ring, Ford's newest iteration of their FWD hot hatch is stateside.
Call Ford a giant tease, because we're not getting this one.
After announcing that Ford would discontinue all of its cars except the Focus Active and the Mustang, we're fully expecting that the blue oval will only be offering SUVs and trucks for the foreseeable future. This news, then, comes as a surprise.
Now, I don't criticize Ford's decision to axe almost all of its passenger cars. I've seen the sales figures. Car sales dropped nearly 25% earlier in the year versus trucks climbing 2.5%. In the case of an EU-specific car, federalizing it without any design or manufacturing changes alone can be significantly costly. You gotta do what brings the bread home, and trucks and SUVs are it.
Found in Colorado, the 2020 Focus ST sports test mule bumpers, an unfinished exhaust, and a positively happy front clip. And us Americans aren't allowed to have it. Credit goes to Autoblog for the find.
