The 2021 Lexus RC F Fuji Speedway Edition

Named after the birthplace of Lexus high-performance.

It's limited to just 60 units, and it's essentially a special version of the recently updated RC F Track Edition. Meet the RC F Fuji Speedway Edition - named after the track that brought about the Lexus F division.

The new Fuji Edition features everything you'd find on the Track Edition, including Brembo carbon ceramic brakes, a titanium exhaust, and weight savings all-round, employing the use of carbon fibre for the bonnet, roof, spoiler, boot divider panel and bumper reinforcements. Added up, all enhancements - like the Track Edition, brings the 0-96.5km/h time down to a precise 3.96 seconds, two-tenths of a second faster than the regular RC F.

Engine and drivetrain specifications remain constant, a 352kW (472hp) 5.0L V8 linked up to an Toyota/Aisin eight-speed automatic gearbox.

The telltale signs of the Fuji Speedway Edition are mainly in the colour specification. It'll be offered in Arctic Blast Satin as pictured or Cloudburst Grey. Lexus states that the Arctic Blast satin is a Lexus-first - a unique white paint with a semi-matte finish, durable enough to go through an automatic car wash.

The standard interior colour for any Fuji Edition is red, housing Circuit Red leather seats with alcantara accents. Red carbon fibre surrounds in the interior for what Lexus describes as 'the ultimate distinction'.

Bundled with the Fuji Speedway Edition comes a matching limited edition MSTR automatic movement watch, decorated with red stitching and matching Fuji Speedway & F logos.

  • Isn’t that car a bit heavy compared to their German equivalents? Swapping out for more exotic materials should be easy to shave weight.

  • Assuming they're telling the truth, it's impressive how they keep honing that 0-100km/h time without adding power.
